Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A dry northeast monsoon is affecting the coastal areas of Guangdong.

At 8 p.m., Super Typhoon Yutu was centred about 840 kilometres east-northeast of Manila. It is forecast to move west-southwest at about 18 kilometres per hour towards the seas east of Luzon.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

It will be fine. Cooler in the morning and at night. The minimum temperature will be 21 degrees in the urban areas, and a few degrees lower in the New Territories. Very dry during the day tomorrow with a maximum temperature of around 28 degrees. Moderate northeasterly winds.

Outlook : Cooler in the morning and at night and very dry during the day in the following couple of days. Mainly cloudy and windy in the latter part of this week.

Warnings:
Gale force winds in Nan'ao. Strong winds in Hong Kong adjacent waters, Shanwei, south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao.

Weather Situation:
The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

At 7 p.m., Super Typhoon Yutu with maximum sustained winds of about 195 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 17.8 degrees north, 128.2 degrees east. It is forecast to move west-southwest at about 18 kilometres per hour towards the seas east of Luzon.

Area forecasts for the next 24 hours

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
North to northeast force 4 to 5, up to force 6 later.
Moderate to rough seas.

Nan'ao:
North to northeast force 6 to 7, up to force 8 later.
Rough to very rough seas.

Shanwei:
North to northeast force 6 to 7.
Rough seas.

South of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao:
North to northeast force 5 to 6.
Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for the next 48 hours
