At 9 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 26 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 35 per cent.
The northeast monsoon is affecting southern China. Meanwhile, Typhoon Yutu moved west across Luzon and entered the South China Sea late this afternoon. According to its present forecast track, Yutu will slow down progressively and turn to the north in the next couple of days.
Depending on the movement of Yutu, the Observatory will consider the need to issue the Standby Signal, No. 1 on Wednesday morning.
