Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

An intense northeast monsoon is bringing significantly cooler weather to Guangdong. Locally, temperatures over the territory this morning were generally six to seven degrees lower than those of yesterday.

Weather forecast for today

Cloudy with one or two rain patches. It will be cool. Temperatures in the urban areas will linger around 17 degrees during the day, falling gradually to around 15 degrees tonight, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. Moderate to fresh northeasterly winds, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground.

Outlook : Temperatures will drop further and there will be a few rain patches in the next couple of days. It will be cold early to midweek next week.
