The winter monsoon is affecting inland Guangdong.

At noon, the tropical depression to the east of the Philippines was centred about 990 kilometres east-southeast of Manila. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 14 kilometres per hour in the general direction of the central part of the Philippines.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Sunny periods in the afternoon. Mainly cloudy and slightly cooler tonight. Moderate northeasterly winds, fresh offshore.

Outlook : Windy with temperatures falling significantly in the next couple of days. Remaining cold with a few rain patches early to midweek next week.

    The intense northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At noon, the tropical depression to the east of the Philippines with maximum sustained winds of about 45 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 10.7 degrees north, 129.2 degrees east. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 14 kilometres per hour in the general direction of the central part of the Philippines.

    Moderate to rough seas, becoming very rough later.
