The winter monsoon is affecting southern China.

At 10 a.m., the tropical depression to the east of the Philippines was centred about 830 kilometres east-southeast of Manila. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour towards the central part of the Philippines.

Weather forecast for today

Sunny periods. Temperatures falling significantly tonight. Moderate to fresh northeasterly winds, occasionally strong offshore.

Outlook : Becoming cold and windy in the next few days. A few rain patches early to midweek next week.

    Weather Situation:
    An intense northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At 9 a.m., the tropical depression to the east of the Philippines with maximum sustained winds of about 55 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 10.7 degrees north, 127.7 degrees east. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour towards the central part of the Philippines.
