The winter monsoon is affecting southern China.

At noon, the tropical depression to the east of the Philippines was centred about 830 kilometres east-southeast of Manila. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour towards the central part of the Philippines.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Sunny periods. Becoming cloudy tonight with temperatures falling significantly. Moderate to fresh northeasterly winds, occasionally strong offshore.

Outlook : Becoming cold and windy in the next few days. A few rain patches early to midweek next week.

    An intense northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At noon, the tropical depression to the east of the Philippines with maximum sustained winds of about 55 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 10.7 degrees north, 127.6 degrees east. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour towards the central part of the Philippines.
