Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The winter monsoon is bringing cold weather to Guangdong. Locally, temperatures over most parts of the territory this morning were four to five degrees lower than those of yesterday.

At 10 a.m., the tropical depression over the Philippines was centred about 570 kilometres southeast of Manila. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 16 kilometres per hour across the central part of the Philippines.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly cloudy. Dry with bright periods during the day. Cold at night. Moderate to fresh north to northeasterly winds, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground.

Outlook : Cold weather will persist and it will be windy in the next few days. A few rain patches early to midweek next week.

An intense northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

At 9 a.m., the tropical depression over the Philippines with maximum sustained winds of about 55 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 11.4 degrees north, 125.4 degrees east. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 16 kilometres per hour across the central part of the Philippines.
