At 10 a.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 28 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 88 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 2. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Gusts reaching 70 kilometres per hour or above may continue to affect Hong Kong.

An area of low pressure located near 18 degrees north, 116 degrees east is bringing unsettled weather to the region and may develop into a tropical cyclone today and tomorrow. It will move towards the vicinity of western Guangdong to Hainan Island in the middle and latter parts of this week.

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
East force 5 to 6.
Heavy showers and squally thunderstorms.
Moderate to rough seas.

Nan'ao, Shanwei and South of Hong Kong:
East to southeast force 5 to 6, occasionally force 7.
Isolated squally showers and thunderstorms.
Moderate to rough seas.

Shangchuan Dao:
East to northeast force 4 to 5, up to force 6 later.
