Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The trough of low pressure over the northern part of the South China Sea brought thundery showers to the region and Guangdong yesterday. Locally, there were sunny intervals, a few showers and thunderstorms. Showers were heavier in some areas last night. More than 40 millimetres of rainfall were recorded at Tsuen Wan. The trough of low pressure will continue to bring thundery showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea today and tomorrow.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Tuesday, 20 Aug 2019)

Mainly cloudy with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms. Hot with sunny intervals during the day. Temperatures will range between 27 and 32 degrees. Light to moderate southeasterly winds.

Outlook : Sunny intervals and a few showers in the following couple of days. The weather will be very hot later this week.
