At 9 a.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 29 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 79 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 2. The intensity of UV radiation was low.
Tropical Cyclone Podul to the west of Luzon has entered within 800 km of Hong Kong. Podul is expected to maintain a distance of more than 600 km from Hong Kong this morning (28 August). It will not pose direct threat to Hong Kong for the time being. The Hong Kong Observatory will monitor closely Podul’s movement. Please take note of the latest weather report issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.
