Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

Showers affected Guangdong yesterday. Locally, it was hot with sunny intervals and occasional showers. The showers were rather heavy over parts of the territory in the afternoon. More than 50 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over Tuen Mun and Yuen Long, and rainfall even exceeded 100 millimetres over the western part of Lantau Island. With the strengthening of the anticyclone aloft, the weather will improve gradually over southern China today and tomorrow.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Wednesday, 18 Sep 2019)

Mainly cloudy with occasional showers. Isolated thunderstorms at first. The minimum temperature will be about 27 degrees. Showers will ease off gradually with sunny periods during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 32 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Moderate east to northeasterly winds, occasionally fresh offshore.

Outlook : Becoming fine and very hot in the following couple of days. Dry over the weekend.
