At 5 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 30 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 74 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.7. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Hot weather might cause adverse health effects. The Observatory advises the public to stay on the alert.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The anticyclone aloft is bringing generally fine weather to southern China.

At 4 p.m., the tropical depression over the vicinity to the east of Taiwan was centred about 880 kilometres east-southeast of Taibei. It is forecast to be slow-moving.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly fine. Isolated showers at first tomorrow. Very hot during the day. Temperatures will range between 28 and 33 degrees. Moderate east to northeasterly winds.

Outlook : Fine and dry in the following few days.

    Warnings:
    Gale force winds in Nan'ao. Strong winds in Shanwei and south of Hong Kong.

    Weather Situation:
    An easterly airstream is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At 4 p.m., the tropical depression over the vicinity to the east of Taiwan with maximum sustained winds of about 55 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 21.9 degrees north, 129.4 degrees east. It is forecast to be slow moving.

    Isolated showers.
    Moderate seas.

    Nan'ao:
    Northeast force 6 to 7, occasionally force 8.
