An anticyclone aloft is bringing generally fine weather to southeastern China.

At 10 a.m., the tropical depression over the western North Pacific was centred about 420 kilometres south-southeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to be slow-moving.

Outlook : Fine and dry in the next few days.

    Warnings:
    Gale force winds in Nan'ao. Strong winds in Shanwei and south of Hong Kong.

    Weather Situation:
    An easterly airstream is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At 9 a.m., the tropical depression over the western North Pacific with maximum sustained winds of about 55 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 22.5 degrees north, 128.8 degrees east. It is forecast to be slow-moving.

    Northeast force 4 to 5.
    Isolated showers.
    Moderate seas.

    Nan'ao:
    Northeast force 6 to 7, occasionally force 8.
    Rough to very rough seas.
