Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

Under the influence of a continental airstream, the weather was mainly fine over Guangdong today. Locally, there were a few showers and isolated squally thunderstorms at first. The weather became fine, hot and dry during the day. The relative humidity over most parts of the territory fell to around 50 per cent in the afternoon. The dry continental airstream is expected to bring fine and hot weather to southern China in the next few days.

Besides, the tropical depression over the western North Pacific was named Tapah today and intensified into a tropical storm. At 11 p.m., Tapah was centred about 370 kilometres south of Okinawa. It is forecast to be slow-moving and intensify gradually.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Friday, 20 Sep 2019)

Fine and dry. The minimum temperatures will be about 26 degrees. Very hot during the day with a maximum temperature of around 33 degrees. Moderate east to northeasterly winds.

Outlook : Fine and dry in the following couple of days.

    Weather Situation:
    At 11 p.m., Tropical Storm Tapah with maximum sustained winds of about 65 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 22.9 degrees north, 128.2 degrees east. It is forecast to be slow-moving and intensify gradually.
