During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 9. The intensity of UV radiation was very high.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

Under the influence of a continental airstream, it is sunny and dry over Hong Kong. Temperatures over parts of the territory rose to 31 degrees or above around noon. The relative humidity fell to around 40 per cent.

At noon, Tropical Storm Tapah was centred about 350 kilometres south-southwest of Okinawa. It is forecast to move northwest at about 10 kilometres towards the Ryukyu Islands and intensify gradually.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Fine. Very dry and very hot in the afternoon. Moderate north to northeasterly winds.

Outlook : Fine and dry with large temperature difference between day and night in the next couple of days.

Weather Situation:
At noon, Tropical Storm Tapah with maximum sustained winds of about 75 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 23.1 degrees north, 126.9 degrees east. It is forecast to move northwest at about 10 kilometres towards the Ryukyu Islands and intensify gradually.
