Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A dry continental airstream is bringing fine weather to southern China.

At 2 a.m., Severe Tropical Storm Tapah was centred about 220 kilometres southwest of Okinawa. It is forecast to move north-northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour across the Ryukyu Islands.

Weather forecast for today

It will be fine. The minimum temperature will be about 25 degrees. Very dry during the day with a maximum temperature of around 32 degrees. Moderate northerly winds, occasionally fresh.

Outlook : Mainly fine and dry with relatively large temperature difference between day and night in the following couple of days.

Warnings:
Gale force winds in Nan'ao. Strong winds in Hong Kong adjacent waters, Shanwei and south of Hong Kong.

Weather Situation:
At 3 a.m., Severe Tropical Storm Tapah with maximum sustained winds of about 105 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 25.0 degrees north, 126.2 degrees east. It is forecast to move north-northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour across the Ryukyu Islands.

Moderate to rough seas.

Nan'ao:
