At 11 a.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 29 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 34 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 7. The intensity of UV radiation was high.

Strong winds are expected from the north. The public should beware of the possible danger brought by rough seas.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The northeast monsoon is bringing fine and dry weather to southern China.

Typhoon Tapah has weakened into a severe tropical storm. At 10 a.m., Tapah was centred about 440 kilometres south-southwest of Busan. It is forecast to move northeast at about 40 kilometres per hour across the seas near the Korean Peninsula and Kyushu of Japan.

Weather forecast for today

Fine and very dry. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, strong offshore and on high ground at first.

Outlook : Mainly fine in the next few days. Still dry with relatively large temperature difference between day and night tomorrow.
