Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

An anticyclone aloft brought fine weather to southern China yesterday. Locally, it was fine yesterday and the weather was hot and dry during the day. Temperatures rose to around 32 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. The anticyclone aloft will continue to bring generally fine and hot weather to Guangdong in the next couple of days.

Besides, Severe Tropical Storm Mitag weakened into a tropical storm yesterday. At 11 p.m. last night, Mitag was centred about 200 kilometres north-northeast of Jeju. It is forecast to move northeast at about 30 kilometres per hour across the Korean Peninsula.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Thursday, 3 Oct 2019)

Mainly fine. The minimum temperature will be about 28 degrees. Hot during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 32 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Light to moderate west to southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Mainly fine and hot in the following couple of days. It will be slightly cooler, windier with some showers early next week.
