At 3 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 24 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 94 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.8. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Gusts reaching 70 kilometres per hour or above may affect Hong Kong.

Strong winds are expected from the east. The public should beware of the possible danger brought by rough seas.

A strong easterly airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Besides, a band of intense thundery showers associated with an upper-air disturbance is affecting the region.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly cloudy with showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at times at first. Moderate to fresh easterly winds, strong offshore and on high ground at first.

Outlook : Still some showers on Chung Yeung Festival. Showers will ease off and there will be sunny periods in the following couple of days.
