Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The anticyclone aloft now affecting southeastern China is weakening gradually.

At 8 a.m., Severe Typhoon Hagibis was centred about 460 kilometres south-southwest of Tokyo. It is forecast to move north-northeast at about 30 kilometres per hour towards Honshu of Japan.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine. The maximum temperature will be about 31 degrees. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms later. Light winds.

Outlook : More showers, windier and slightly cooler early next week. Fine and dry midweek next week.
