Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The anticyclone aloft affecting southeastern China weakened yesterday. A cold front formed over the northern part of southern China, and moved southwards gradually. Locally, there were sunny periods and a few showers. There were isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. About 20 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over the western part of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. The cold front is expected to move across the coastal areas this morning. Its associated northeast monsoon will bring rainy and slightly cooler weather to the region today and tomorrow.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong

Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms. Slightly cooler in the morning and at night. Temperatures will range between 24 and 29 degrees. Light winds, becoming moderate northeasterlies gradually, occasionally fresh offshore later.

Outlook : There will still be showers on Monday. Winds will strengthen from the east and it will be slightly cooler. Fine and dry midweek this week.
