At 4 a.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 24 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 96 per cent.

Announcement on Localised Heavy Rain: Rain was particularly heavy in Sai Kung District and Eastern District of Hong Kong Island, with more than 70 millimetres of rainfall recorded in the past 1 hour ending at 3:20 a.m. and may cause serious flooding.

The Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal has been issued.
The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 6:00 a.m. today. Isolated squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong.
