Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The northeast monsoon affected southern China today. Meanwhile, there were thundery showers over the coast of Guangdong. Locally, it was mainly cloudy with showers. Showers were heavy with isolated squally thunderstorms in the morning. More than 20 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over most parts of the territory, and rainfall even exceeded 40 millimetres over New Territories East and Hong Kong Island. With the northeast monsoon strengthening gradually, the weather will become fine and windy over the coastal areas of Guangdong in the next couple of days.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Tuesday, 15 Oct 2019)

Mainly cloudy. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms at first. Becoming fine during the day. Temperatures will range between 24 and 28 degrees. Fresh east to northeasterly winds, strong offshore.

Outlook : Remaining fine with relatively large temperature difference between day and night in the following few days.
