The northeast monsoon is affecting southern China.

At 10 a.m., Tropical Storm Neoguri was centred about 1100 kilometres east-northeast of Manila. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the vicinity to the east of Luzon Strait.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine. Dry during the day. Moderate north to northeasterly winds.

Outlook : Mainly fine in the next couple of days with relatively large temperature difference between day and night.

    Strong winds in Nan'ao, Shanwei, south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao.

    Weather Situation:
    The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    Tropical Depression Neoguri has intensified into a tropical storm. At 9 a.m., Neoguri with maximum sustained winds of about 65 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 19.7 degrees north, 129.9 degrees east. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the vicinity to the east of Luzon Strait.

    Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
    North to northeast force 4 to 5.
    A few light rain patches at first.
    Moderate seas.

    Nan'ao:
    Northeast force 5 to 6, occasionally force 7.
    Moderate to rough seas.

    Moderate to rough seas.

    South of Hong Kong:
