A dry northeast monsoon is bringing generally fine weather to southern China.

At noon, Tropical Storm Neoguri was centred about 1100 kilometres east-northeast of Manila. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the vicinity to the east of Luzon Strait.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Fine. Dry in the afternoon. Moderate north to northeasterly winds.

Outlook : Mainly fine in the next couple of days.

    Strong winds in Nan'ao, Shanwei, south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao.

    Weather Situation:
    The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At noon, Tropical Storm Neoguri with maximum sustained winds of about 65 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 19.8 degrees north, 129.8 degrees east. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the vicinity to the east of Luzon Strait.

    Moderate seas.

    Nan'ao:
    Northeast force 5 to 6, occasionally force 7.
