Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The northeast monsoon is bringing generally fine weather to southern China.

At 8 a.m., Tropical Storm Neoguri was centred about 840 kilometres east-southeast of Gaoxiong. It is forecast to move west or west-northwest at about 10 kilometres per hour, lingering over the western North Pacific to the east of Luzon Strait.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine. Dry during the day with a maximum temperature of around 29 degrees. Moderate east to northeasterly winds, fresh offshore later.

Outlook : Mainly fine in the next couple of days.

    Weather information for south China coastal waters issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 9:30 a.m. on 19 October 2019

    Warnings:
    Strong winds in Nan'ao, Shanwei and south of Hong Kong.

    Weather Situation:
    The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At 9 a.m., Tropical Storm Neoguri with maximum sustained winds of about 75 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 21.1 degrees north, 128.0 degrees east. It is forecast to move west or west-northwest at about 10 kilometres per hour, lingering over the western North Pacific to the east of Luzon Strait.

    East to northeast force 4 to 5.
    A few rain patches.
    Moderate seas.

    Nan'ao:
    Northeast force 5 to 6, occasionally force 7.
    Moderate to rough seas.

    Moderate to rough seas.
