Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A dry northeast monsoon is bringing generally fine weather to southern China. Locally, the relative humidity over the territory stayed below 70 per cent in the afternoon.

At 4 p.m., Severe Tropical Storm Neoguri was centred about 720 kilometres east of Gaoxiong. It is forecast to move northwest or west-northwest at about 10 kilometres per hour across the seas east of Taiwan.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly fine. One or two rain patches tomorrow morning. Dry during the day. Temperatures will range between 24 and 29 degrees. Moderate easterly winds, fresh offshore at first.

Outlook : Mainly fine in the following couple of days. Cloudier with one or two showers in the middle and latter parts of next week.

    Weather information for south China coastal waters issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 4:30 p.m. on 19 October 2019

    Warnings:
    Strong winds in Nan'ao, Shanwei and south of Hong Kong.

    Weather Situation:
    The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    Tropical Storm Neoguri has intensified into a severe tropical storm. At 4 p.m., Neoguri with maximum sustained winds of about 90 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 21.6 degrees north, 127.2 degrees east. It is forecast to move northwest or west-northwest at about 10 kilometres per hour across the seas east of Taiwan.

    East to northeast force 4 to 5.
    Moderate seas.

    Nan'ao:
    Northeast force 5 to 6, occasionally force 7.
    Moderate to rough seas.

    Moderate to rough seas.

    Shangchuan Dao:
    East to northeast force 4 to 5.
