Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A dry northeast monsoon is bringing generally fine weather to southern China.

Severe Typhoon Neoguri has weakened into a typhoon. At noon, Neoguri was centred about 260 kilometres south-southeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to move north-northeast at about 14 kilometres per hour towards the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly fine. Dry in the afternoon. Moderate easterly winds, fresh offshore at first.

Outlook : Mainly fine in the next couple of days. Cloudier with one or two showers in the middle and latter parts of this week.

    Strong winds in Hong Kong adjacent waters, Nan'ao, Shanwei and south of Hong Kong.

    Weather Situation:
    The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At noon, Typhoon Neoguri with maximum sustained winds of about 140 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 23.9 degrees north, 128.2 degrees east. It is forecast to move north-northeast at about 14 kilometres per hour towards the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands.
