Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A dry northeast monsoon is bringing fine weather to southern China. Locally, the relative humidity over the territory generally fell below 50 per cent around noon. Besides, an area of low pressure over the central and southern parts of the South China Sea is intensifying gradually. A tropical cyclone appears to be forming.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Fine. Very dry in the afternoon. Moderate to fresh northeasterly winds, strengthening from the east tonight.

Outlook : Mainly fine and dry, and it will be windy in the next few days. Slightly cooler in the morning and at night.

    Weather Situation:
    The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters. Meanwhile, an area of low pressure over the central and southern parts of the South China Sea is intensifying gradually. A tropical cyclone appears to be forming.
