Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A dry northeast monsoon is bringing generally fine weather to southern China.

At 4 p.m., Tropical Storm Nakri was centred about 430 kilometres north-northeast of Nansha. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the central and southern parts of the South China Sea.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

It will be fine. The minimum temperature tomorrow morning will be about 21 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. Dry during the day with a maximum temperature of around 27 degrees. Moderate easterly winds, fresh at times. Becoming northerlies tomorrow.

Outlook : Mainly fine and dry in the following couple of days. Slightly cooler in the morning and at night. Windy on Saturday.

    Gale force winds in Nan'ao. Strong winds in Hong Kong adjacent waters, Shanwei, south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao.

    Weather Situation:
    The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At 4 p.m., Tropical Storm Nakri with maximum sustained winds of about 75 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 13.7 degrees north, 116.4 degrees east. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the central and southern parts of the South China Sea.

    Moderate to rough seas.

    Nan'ao:
    Northeast force 6 to 7, occasionally force 8.

    Tropical Cyclone Warning

    At 060600 UTC, Tropical Storm Nakri (1924) with central pressure 990 hectopascals was centred within 90 nautical miles of one three point seven degrees north (13.7 N) one one six point four degrees east (116.4 E) and is forecast to be slow moving for the next 24 hours.

    Maximum winds near the centre are estimated to be 40 knots.

    Radius of over 33 knot winds 120 nautical miles over northern semicircle, 60 nautical miles elsewhere.
    Radius of over 2 metre waves 240 nautical miles.

They incorporate additional information derived from surface and upper-air data and may therefore be slightly different from the real-time satellite or radar-based positions given in the hourly bulletins for public.

    While the forecast positions and track indicate the most likely future path of the tropical cyclone, they may deviate from the actual path taken by the storm.
