Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A dry northeast monsoon is bringing fine weather to southern China.

At 10 a.m., Tropical Depression Nakri was centred about 350 kilometres south of Da Nang. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour across the central part of Vietnam and dissipate gradually.

Fine and dry. Moderate east to northeasterly winds, fresh offshore later.

Outlook : Sunny intervals tomorrow. Fine and dry in the following few days.

    Weather information for south China coastal waters issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 9:30 a.m. on 11 November 2019

    Weather Situation:
    The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At 9 a.m., Tropical Depression Nakri with maximum sustained winds of about 45 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 12.8 degrees north, 108.3 degrees east. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour across the central part of Vietnam and dissipate gradually.

    East to northeast force 3 to 4.
    Slight to moderate seas.

    Nan'ao and Shanwei:
    Northeast force 4 to 5.
    Moderate seas.

    South of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao:

    Moderate seas.

    Tropical Cyclone Warning

    Tropical Storm Nakri (1924) has weakened into a Tropical Depression with central pressure 998 hectopascals. At 102100 UTC, it was centred within 90 nautical miles of one two point eight degrees north (12.8 N) one zero eight point nine degrees east (108.9 E) and is forecast to move west-northwest at about 10 knots for the next 24 hours.

    Maximum winds near the centre are estimated to be 30 knots.

    Radius of over 2 metre waves 180 nautical miles.

    No further warnings on this Tropical Depression will be issued by the Hong Kong Observatory unless re-intensification takes place.

    Dissipated over land.



    The Hong Kong Observatory's tropical cyclone warnings for shipping are issued about one and a half hours after the time of observation. They incorporate additional information derived from surface and upper-air data and may therefore be slightly different from the real-time satellite or radar-based positions given in the hourly bulletins for public.

    While the forecast positions and track indicate the most likely future path of the tropical cyclone, they may deviate from the actual path taken by the storm.
