Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The northeast monsoon is bringing generally fine weather to southern China.

At 2 a.m., Tropical Depression Kalmaegi was centred about 590 kilometres east-northeast of Manila. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the seas east of Luzon.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine. The minimum temperature in the morning will be about 21 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. Dry during the day with a maximum temperature of around 26 degrees. Moderate east to northeasterly winds, occasionally fresh offshore.

Outlook : Fine and dry in the following couple of days. Winds strengthening from the north next Monday night. Cool on Tuesday morning.

Warnings:
Gale force winds in Nan'ao. Strong winds in Hong Kong adjacent waters, Shanwei, south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao.

Weather Situation:
The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

At 3 a.m., Tropical Depression Kalmaegi with maximum sustained winds of about 55 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 16.4 degrees north, 126.2 degrees east. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the seas east of luzon.

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
East to northeast force 4 to 5, occasionally force 6.
Moderate to rough seas.

Nan'ao:
Northeast force 6 to 7, occasionally force 8, becoming east force 5 to 6.

Rough seas, becoming moderate to rough.

South of Hong Kong:
