A dry northeast monsoon is bringing generally fine weather to southern China.

At noon, Tropical Depression Kalmaegi was centred about 580 kilometres east-northeast of Manila. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the seas east of Luzon.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Fine. Dry in the afternoon. Moderate easterly winds, occasionally fresh offshore.

Outlook : Fine and dry in the next couple of days. Winds strengthening from the north next Monday night. Cool on Tuesday morning.

    The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At noon, Tropical Depression Kalmaegi with maximum sustained winds of about 55 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 17.0 degrees north, 125.8 degrees east. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the seas east of Luzon.
