Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The northeast monsoon continued to bring generally fine weather to southern China yesterday. Locally, it was mainly fine and dry during the day. The pressure over northern China is expected to rise today. A cold front will move across the south China coast on Monday night. The associated intense northeast monsoon will bring cool weather to the region.

At 11 p.m. last night, Tropical Depression Kalmaegi was centred about 590 kilometres east-northeast of Manila. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the seas east of Luzon.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong

Mainly fine. The minimum temperature will be about 21 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. Dry during the day with a maximum temperature of around 27 degrees. Moderate easterly winds.

Outlook : Mainly fine on Monday with winds strengthening from the north at night. Appreciably cooler in the following couple of days.

Weather Situation:
The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

At 11 p.m., Tropical Depression Kalmaegi with maximum sustained winds of about 55 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 16.0 degrees north, 126.3 degrees east. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the seas east of Luzon.

Nan'ao, Shanwei and South of Hong Kong:
East to northeast force 4 to 5.
