Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The northeast monsoon is bringing generally fine weather to southern China.

At 5 a.m., Tropical Storm Kalmaegi was centred about 540 kilometres east-northeast of Manila. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the seas east of Luzon.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine. Dry during the day with a maximum temperature of around 27 degrees. Moderate easterly winds.

Outlook : Mainly fine tomorrow with winds strengthening from the north at night. Appreciably cooler in the following couple of days.

    Weather information for south China coastal waters issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 5:30 a.m. on 17 November 2019

    Weather Situation:
    The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At 5 a.m., Tropical Storm Kalmaegi with maximum sustained winds of about 65 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 15.8 degrees north, 125.8 degrees east. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the seas east of Luzon.

    Moderate seas.

    Nan'ao, Shanwei and South of Hong Kong:
    East to northeast force 4 to 5.
