     THE NORTHEAST MONSOON IS AFFECTING THE SOUTH
     CHINA COASTAL AREAS.
     AT 9 A.M., SEVERE TYPHOON VAMCO WAS LOCATED AT
     15.7 DEGREES NORTH, 111.2 DEGREES EAST. IT IS
     FORECAST TO MOVE WES-NORTHWEST T AT ABOUT 10
     KNOTS ACROSS THE CENTRAL PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA
     SEA.
