     THE NORTHEAST MONSOON IS AFFECTING THE SOUTH
     CHINA COASTAL AREAS.
     SEVERE TYPHOON VAMCO WEAKENED INTO A TYPHOON
     LAST NIGHT.
     AT 11 P.M. LAST NIGHT, VAMCO WAS LOCATED AT 16.4
     DEGREES NORTH, 108.9 DEGREES EAST. IT IS
     FORECAST TO MOVE WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 10
     KNOTS TOWARDS THE CENTRAL PART OF VIETNAM.
