Weather Information for South China Coastal Waters
Bulletin issued at 19:02 HKT 10/Nov/2017
At 7 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 25 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 78 per cent.
The northeast monsoon affecting the coast of southeastern China will strengthen slightly on Saturday. Meanwhile, Tropical Cyclone Haikui will move across the central part of the South China Sea. Since the circulation of Haikui is relatively small and it will maintain a distance of more than about 500 km from Hong Kong according to the current forecast track, its threat to Hong Kong is not high. Under the combined effect of the monsoon and Haikui, local weather will be windy with rough seas on Saturday and early next week. It will also become cloudy with a few rain patches gradually. Members of the public engaging in outdoor and water sports activities should take note of the weather changes.
