Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The winter monsoon is affecting southern China. Locally, temperatures over Hong Kong were generally lower than those of yesterday by about three degrees around noon.

At noon, the tropical depression east of the Philippines was centred about 1940 kilometres east-southeast of Manila. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 16 kilometres per hour towards the southern part of the Philippines.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly cloudy and dry with sunny periods. Temperatures will drop at night. Moderate to fresh northerly winds.

Outlook : Mainly fine and dry with cold morning tomorrow. Temperatures will rise progressively midweek this week. The weather will become humid and foggy and persist to the Lunar New Year.
