Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The winter monsoon is affecting southern China. Locally, temperatures over most parts of the territory were lower than those of yesterday by about four degrees in the afternoon.

The tropical depression east of the Philippines was named Sanba. At 4 p.m., Sanba was centred about 1790 kilometres east-southeast of Manila. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 20 kilometres per hour towards the southern part of the Philippines.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

It will be dry. Cloudy periods overnight. Mainly fine tomorrow. Cold in the morning. The minimum temperature will be about 12 degrees. The maximum temperature will be around 18 degrees during the day. Moderate north to northeasterly winds, fresh at times.

Outlook : Temperatures will rise progressively midweek this week. The weather will become humid and foggy and persist to the Lunar New Year.
