Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The winter monsoon continued to affect southern China yesterday. Locally, the weather was cold yesterday morning with temperatures over the territory generally fell to around 12 degrees or below. It was fine and dry during the day. The monsoon is expected to be replaced by a humid easterly airstream. Temperatures over the coast of Guangdong will rise progressively in the next couple of days. The weather will be mild and humid with fog over the Lunar New Year holidays.

At 11 p.m. last night, Tropical Depression Sanba was centred about 1110 kilometres southeast of Manila. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 25 kilometres per hour towards the southern part of the Philippines.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Tuesday, 13 Feb 2018)

It will be fine. The minimum temperature in the morning will be about 13 degrees in the urban areas, and a few degrees lower in the New Territories. Dry with a maximum temperature of around 18 degrees during the day. Moderate east to northeasterly winds, fresh at times.

Outlook : Temperatures rising progressively in the following couple of days. The weather will be mild and humid with fog over the Lunar New Year holidays.
