Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A cold front moved across the coast of Guangdong yesterday. The associated strong northeast monsoon brought appreciably cooler weather to the region. Locally, there were sunny periods yesterday morning. The weather was cloudy with one or two showers as winds strengthened from the north after midday. Temperatures over the territory last night were generally five to six degrees lower than those of the day before. The northeast monsoon is expected to bring cooler and very dry weather to Guangdong during the weekend.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong

Cloudy. Appreciably cooler with one or two light rain patches in the morning. The minimum temperature will be about 15 degrees. Very dry with bright periods in the afternoon. The maximum temperature will be around 21 degrees. Fresh to strong northerly winds, occasionally gale offshore and on high ground. Winds will moderate later.

Outlook : Fine and very dry with cool morning on Sunday. Temperatures will rise gradually in the following couple of days.

The Airport Meteorological Office is responsible for monitoring hazardous weather and phenomena in the atmosphere that may affect the safety of aircraft operations within a designated airspace over the northern part of the South China Sea.
