A band of thundery showers associated with an upper-air disturbance is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Locally, more than 10 millimetres of rainfall were recorded in many places this morning. Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon is bringing cooler weather to Guangdong.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Cloudy with occasional rain. There will be squally thunderstorms at first. Rain will ease off later. Moderate northerly winds, fresh at times.

Outlook : Still showery with a few thunderstorms tomorrow. It will be brighter midweek this week.
