During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 2. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A trough of low pressure is bringing showers and thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong. Locally, more than 20 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over Hong Kong Island, Tuen Mun and Lantau Island this morning. The trough of low pressure is expected to move southwards to the northern part of the South China Sea and weaken.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Cloudy with showers. Showers will be heavier with a few thunderstorms at first over the southern part of Hong Kong. Showers will ease off gradually in the afternoon. Light to moderate northerly winds.

Outlook : Mainly cloudy in the next couple of days. The weather will improve over the weekend and early next week.
