Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

Showers are affecting the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea.

At noon, the tropical depression over the central part of the South China Sea was centred about 230 kilometres west-southwest of Xisha. It is forecast to move north slowly towards the vicinity of Hainan Island.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly cloudy with a few showers and thunderstorms. Moderate easterly winds, fresh offshore.

Outlook : There will be squally showers and thunderstorms in the next few days.
