At 9 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 27 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 87 per cent.
The tropical cyclone over the central part of the South China Sea has entered within 800 km of Hong Kong. However, its structure is rather loose and it moves relatively slowly, keeping a distance of more than 600 km from Hong Kong tonight and tomorrow morning. It will not pose direct threat to Hong Kong for the time being. The Observatory will closely monitor the evolution of the tropical cyclone.
