    Weather Situation:
    Tropical Storm Ewiniar has weakened into a Tropical Depression. At 3 p.m., Ewiniar with maximum sustained winds of about 55 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 23.2 degrees north, 112.4 degrees east. It is forecast to move north or north-northeast slowly towards the inland areas of Guangdong and continue to weaken. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Maliksi with maximum sustained winds of about 65 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 18.7 degrees north, 126.8 degrees east. It is forecast to move north at about 20 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific.

    Tropical Cyclone Warning

    Tropical Storm Ewiniar (1804) has weakened into a Tropical Depression with central pressure 998 hectopascals. At 080600 UTC, it was centred within 90 nautical miles of two three point one degrees north (23.1 N) one one two point four degrees east (112.4 E) and is forecast to move north or north-northeast slowly for the next 24 hours.

    Maximum winds near the centre are estimated to be 30 knots.

    Radius of over 2 metre waves 90 nautical miles.

    Dissipated over land.



    The Hong Kong Observatory's tropical cyclone warnings for shipping are issued about one and a half hours after the time of observation. They incorporate additional information derived from surface and upper-air data and may therefore be slightly different from the real-time satellite or radar-based positions given in the hourly bulletins for public.

    While the forecast positions and track indicate the most likely future path of the tropical cyclone, they may deviate from the actual path taken by the storm.
