Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A continental airstream is bringing mainly fine weather to the western part of Guangdong.

At 8 a.m., Severe Tropical Storm Maliksi was centred about 340 kilometres east-southeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to move northeast at about 30 kilometres per hour towards the seas south of Japan.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine and very hot with a maximum temperature of around 33 degrees. Moderate west to northwesterly winds.

Outlook : Very hot with sunny periods tomorrow. Showers and thunderstorms in the middle and latter parts of this week.
