Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A continental airstream is bringing generally fine weather to the coastal areas of Guangdong.

At 2 a.m., Severe Tropical Storm Maliksi was centred about 830 kilometres south-southwest of Tokyo. It is forecast to move northeast at about 50 kilometres per hour across the seas south of Japan.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine. The minimum temperature will be about 28 degrees. Very hot during the day with a maximum temperature of around 33 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Light to moderate northwesterly winds.

Outlook : Showers and squally thunderstorms in the following few days.
