Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A continental airstream is bringing generally fine weather to the coastal areas of Guangdong.

At 5 a.m., Severe Tropical Storm Maliksi was centred about 730 kilometres south-southwest of Tokyo. It is forecast to move northeast at about 50 kilometres per hour across the seas south of Japan.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine. Isolated showers at first. Very hot with some haze during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 33 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Light to moderate northwesterly winds.

Outlook : Showers and squally thunderstorms in the next few days.
